Morristown Green Up Day Green Up Day is sponsored by the Morristown Conservation Commission. Morristown residents can pick up green bags and sign up for road assignments at the town offices starting on April 19th at noon.
The Town offices are open Monday thru Thursday 8:00 AM to 4;00 PM. Friday 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Call Brent at 888-4086 for other arrangements.
On Green Up Day, May 4th at 7:00AM we will set up an outside Green Up Day Headquarters at Ox Bow Park located at the end of Portland Street just passed R.K. Miles lumber. Green Up Bags and the road assignment map will be available from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM to assist new volunteer and answer Questions. Bottled water will be available.
There will be a large dumpster at the site to hold all Green up Day trash. (Green Up Day bags and other roadside trash only. No home trash will be accepted.} Residents of Morristown can drop unwanted tires at the Green Up Day Dumpster site for $6.00 to $8.00 per tire depending on the tire size.
Any unusual discoveries of trash, needles or dangerous items should be left roadside and reported to Green Up Headquarters. Inquiries can be made to Brent at 802-793-4950 at any time before and including Green UP Day.
Bags containing roadside trash and other trash i.e. tires, TV”s, mattress etc. can be left along the untraveled portion of the road and the town crew will pick up on Monday or they can be brought to the dumpster.
Sharing the site with Green Up will be Peoples Academy Soccer fund raising bottle drive. Returnable and recyclable bottles will be accepted.

Green Up Vermont is organizing the longest litter pick up team ever.
• Saturday, May 4th – 10 am start
• 223 miles from North Troy to Stamford – 446 if we go North & South
• Volunteers start at every mile mark
• Route complete in about one hour
• Event after party in Killington
The publicity will be grand, the camaraderie fantastic, and the legacy you’ll leave, envious. You and your business will definitely want to be a part of it!
Participants can be individuals or teams (t-shirts & water bottles may be limited).
Participants can fundraise the $100 donation for support or in honor of someone.
Businesses can sponsor mile(s) for individuals for team building and exposure.
HERE’S HOW: $100 donation per Volunteer Mile
• Commit to Green Up 1 mile of route on May 4 at 10 am. Volunteer can choose their mile of the predetermined route based on availability.
• Commemorative mile marker sign and participation bib with mile number, name and business sponsor logo.
• Volunteer receives Green Up t-shirt and waterbottle.
• Volunteer and donor names are listed as part of our Guinness World Record.
