Morristown Parks and Recreation Committee is looking to hire a Summer Activity Coordinator to host recreation events at Wednesday Night Live (WNL) from June 16-August 18, 2021 at Oxbow Park (10 sessions). This position will be for a maximum of 3 hours per week. The Coordinator will be responsible for setting up and running a weekly recreation activity during the music series from 5:30-7:30 pm (2 hours per week). The Town of Morristown will provide the materials needed for each week's activity. The Coordinator will be responsible for setting up and taking down the event including a table with promotional recreation materials and a banner. The Coordinator will also be responsible to promote the event and other recreation marketing needs (max 1 hour per week) on the Morristown recreation FB page, Instagram, FPF, and in the community as well as sending pictures and an article to the local newspaper twice during the season. If time allows, the Coordinator will possibly support other Committee needs (especially if WNL is cancelled due to inclement weather).The ideal candidate would be recreation minded, have a love of the community, be able to engage with small groups of people, be organized, and be comfortable with posting on social media.Please send your letter of interest to parksandrec@morristownvt.org
