2024 ALL-DAY SUMMER RECREATION CAMP: 7 WEEKS OF FUN, ACTIVITIES, SWIMMING, AND FIELD TRIPS!

The Morristown Summer Recreation Program is an all-day children’s camp. Our program offers a fun, safe and healthy environment to promote healthy eating and exercise with a variety of planned activities throughout our local community and beyond for children ages 6 through 12. 

Children must have completed Kindergarten to enter our Summer Camp.
 
The 2024 summer program runs Monday – Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM beginning Monday, June 24 and ending Friday, August 9 (Closed Monday, July 4) at the Peoples Academy Gymnasium.
 
In the morning campers participate in daily activities such as arts & crafts, nature adventures, STEM, and other indoor and outdoor games. Following lunch, we head to various outings. Monday + Thursday we head to Lake Elmore, Tuesdays are a local hike + swim, Wednesday is our base camp day, and Fridays are a big field trip.

Field trips are scheduled to arrive back at the Peoples Academy Gymnasium at 3:30 PM for pick up by 4:30 PM sharp. 

Free breakfast and lunch offered to all children enrolled in camp daily through LSSU.

A parent handbook will be sent upon registration, as well as provided on the first day of the program.  Please read it carefully as the information is very important.  Our policies, procedures, and camper rules are made to ensure a safe and fun environment for our campers and counselors.

If your child requires medication while attending camp, please see "Medication Authorization Form" in links below. This must be printed and brought to the director with accompanying medication the first day your child attends camp.

Registration Deadlines
Registration opens to Morristown residents March 11, 2024

Registration opens to non-residents March 25, 2024.

Early Drop off/Late Pickup
  • Parents who picked up after 4:30 PM will be charged an additional $10 per occurrence.
  • Failure to pay will result in termination from the program.
  • We do NOT offer an early drop off, this time is for our staff to prepare for the day, please respect this time and make arrangements to drop off between 7:30-8:30am.
  • Doors will be locked at 8:30.

Payment Information
See 2024 Summer Recreation Rates form below for detailed rates.

$50 non-refundable deposit due if not paying in full at time of registration.

Entire summer must be paid in full by June 24, 2024 to receive discounted rate. After June 25, 2024 weekly rate applies.

Weekly payments are due in full the Sunday before the week of attendance.
